Sleep well in log cabin style!
Our B&B is a 10-minute bike ride from the bustling center of historic Delft, within walking distance of the shops in the pleasant village of Den Hoorn. On the edge of the Midden-Delfland area where there are many opportunities for recreation in and on the water, cycling and walking tours and even the beach of Kijkduin is only 14 km away.
In 2006 we – Aad and Christel van der Drift with our 3 children Daan, Bas and Gijs – purchased a former bank and the adjacent caretaker's house. After 7 years of renovation, we started realizing a bed & breakfast in the warehouse, above the sawmill of our own furniture and furnishing company Drift Wood Deco. Because running a B&B always seemed like a lot of fun to us, we started working hard to realize that "dream". Our “Droomhut” is the result of this. On June 20, 2014 we received our first guests!
Wonderful dreams in a log cabin
Atmosphere What you will notice about our B&B is our rustic and attractive interior. Much of the furniture is handmade by our own company. These rooms are characterized by the use of unruly round wood, real tree trunks and natural materials. That makes your stay an experience in itself! And then the area also offers countless possibilities.
De Droomhut is located on the border between the green and water-rich area 'Midden Delfland' and the bustling city of Delft. So there are countless ways to enjoy yourself during a stay at De Droomhut. Boating, walking, cycling, but also theater, restaurants and the rich nightlife of Delft are among the possibilities. You can rent a boat from us to explore the area. In addition, you can spend time at the water's edge on our deck in front of our door.
Delft is known for its Delft blue pottery. The city is famous as the birthplace of the famous painter Johannes Vermeer, who made the Girl with a Pearl Earring. Moreover, Delft is famous as a cozy city full of canals with historical monuments and medieval architecture.
Hopefully we can welcome you soon in B&B De Droomhut!
